What do you think of my idea for a new government?
A lot of the government will get its support from the jail system.
My idea is for slavery to only be legal for those who defy the laws in the worst ways. Recycling will be enforced and the people who will manage the recycling processes will be the prisoners. The by products from the recycling will be contained and research will be done to find out how it can be recycled as well. The materials to be recycled will go towards help paying the taxes of the citizens under the government. The funds will go for waste management research rather than all of this senseless replay of unneeded warfare and weapons development. There will be super fertilizer made for to sell the farmers in giant heaps of land. Food, paper and other things that can help create a good fertilizer over time will be there. The plastics, metals and such once processed will be sold to companies. There will indeed be some taxes to pay and the same sort of health care that Canada has, so will this new government. This new government will have the people vote for each law individually by the means of the internet and networking. Pot will be legal, but drugs who cause more deaths will not be. Alcohol distributed must be purchased with a card similar to a credit card and only so much can each individual have. The legal drinking age will be 16, but moderation will be enforced. If you drop out of school, you will be a fugitive, unless you return before 2 years has passed. Secrets will not be kept from the civilians like in this government. All vehicles must be environmentally friendly. There will be "pot houses" like pubs for pot, you go here to mellow out you can only come here once every other day and the same card for alcohol must be used to keep track as well. Only someone who has pot for medicinal purposes can keep it at their home. Cigarettes will be outlawed unless all natural.
Guns will be banned, if you have any real balls, use a damned sword! Bows, arrows and high powered slingshots will be used in hunting. Satanism will be outlawed, all other religions are alright with me. Christmas and Easter will be celebrated on another day,
The day it was originally celebrated will now be called gift day and The spring gathering. The actual Christmas and Easter did not happen when they are claimed to have happened, it's a cover up and it disgusts me and many others. The power companies will be clean power providers, every house will have solar panel roofs and be hooked up in a group. Old people who are on life support will be let go from life support if they are suffering too much and papers must be filled out at a certain age to say if they would want otherwise. Population will be controlled. Marriage before reproduction will be enforced. If there is proof that an affair is going on between two people, the cheater or cheaters can be given a lawsuit and money will be taken from them, half given to the victim and the other half to the government. Rather than a president, there will be a king and queen, within the family the morals and values will be kept alive, if not, a revolt is inevitable, and so be it! There will be no rent for properties to be paid. The roads and such will be made from highly durable recycled material that can be repaired very easily with steam roller type machines. The law enforcements will be groups of bounty hunters who are not meant to kill their prey, but to hunt and capture, even if that means cutting their arms and legs off if they try to resist. Lie detectors will be present at all courts and a drug will be developed to counter those who have to ability to fool the lie detector. If you are going to court for speeding or something car related you can drive there if you have to and will be permitted a sort of special 2 day license for the trip, although, you must apply for it. This government will be neutral any only have trade with other counties and nothing else! The rights of free speech will be kept.
Gambling will be legal but many limits will be set. Prostitution will be outlawed. And there will be a limit to how many children each person can have before they are caught into a lottery for getting tubes tied or a vasectomy. There will be a limit to how much food can be bought based on pets and household. Vicious dogs will not be put to death, they will be put to work within the prison for extra guards. The payment for jobs will be to have a home to live and citizenship. A type of bonus credit will come to those who find a way to start a business. This will go into circulation and slowly change things a bit. The bonus credits can buy things that are desired rather than needed. Also this type of credit can be gotten other ways as well such as winning it as a prize or getting it in a trade. There will be three types of ways to get things, by limiting cards, bonus credits and trade. You don't seem to understand my views on population control. Yes I know what kills, and something must kill to keep the population down to a minimum. Sure, pot kills, but just imagine, a possible murderer on pot, too mellow to kill. If someone or something is to kill, I'd prefer it to not be man directly to do the job. As I said, I was cut off. As for lie detecting, there is always a chemical composition to be discovered and I do believe that there is one that can better a lie detector test, it's just not yet been discovered. As for the things relating to more crime, I have that handled. In order to appreciate the good in life, you need some bad in life to look at and compare. Without appreciation for what is good in life, you can not find happiness. As for the market, there would be stores from another country as well as family owned and government ones. As for having the land to make a government for, that is still in the early stages of how and where. If you have unmanned land, people will come.
Even if many of the rules are considerably unfair to some standards, there are still countries who have it worse and people would come right over in a heart beat. As for extra funds, and extra prisoners, let the other countries send the overflow of their prisoners.
With the exception of alcohol, and pot, and your willingness to accept and encourage free-market capitalism, it seems fairly good, especially from an environmental standpoint.

You have a vivid imagination, so I won't flame you. However, you won't find very many people that would be willing to sign on to this scheme. Realize that it is human nature itself that makes it impossible for any sort of collective / cooperative government / society to EVER work.. but keep examining the world… you'll stumble across the truths one by one.
Here's one.. you can have a free populace, or one under involuntary control. Not both.
And another.. nothing of the sort will ever happen in the US so long as a single true American has breath in their lungs & a single round of ammo in their magazine.

A few flaws: Slavery wouldnt be the correct term. If all the "PRISONERS" are doing is recycling, it wouldnt be much different from a select few jails today. Also, restricting people with a credit card-like device as to how much they can buy will do nothing. anyone could just have someone else buy more for them. Also, marijuana should ONLY be used for medical purposes. It is still worse then cigarrettes. Cigarrettes should be banned entireley, as they do still pollute, natural or not. They also spread disease to innocent people, even with "controlled smoking zones", because of the remains of the smoke, and any smoke that escapes the zone will harm innocent non-smokers. If anything, the government would also invest in medical applications to help smokers quit, and only apply the medicine or what ever it be in an official doctors office, to prevent overdose…
other then that, it seems like a wonderful government to live under, but i agree with las vegas guy up there. it wont happen.

I'll take it point by point:
Recycle using prison system – I'm opposed to more government intrusion in my life. I don't want the government telling me what I can and can not do with my empty plastic bottle. I am perfectly okay with using the prison system as a labor source though.
Canadian style heath care – Again, I'm opposed to government interference. I think that private health care, where there is actual free market competition (not just having the government as your one and only option), is a much better idea.
Vote for each law – This was tried in ancient Greece. They dumped it because it got too tedious to do. The sheer number of bills introduced precludes anybody who has a job, a life, kids, etc from making an informed decision on everything.
Legalizing drugs – Alcohol causes plenty of deaths, yet is perfectly legal. I support a person's right to choose to do whatever they want to their body. Their body does not belong to the government. If they choose to do harm to their body, that is their choice, not Uncle Sam's.
Limit alcohol – Again, a person's body does not belong to the government. If they want to drink, that's their personal choice. Also, what happens if somebody wants to buy a lot of alcohol for a cocktail party???
Legal drinking age – I think the legal drinking age should be 18. Below 18 the parents should make the rules for their children, not the government.
Drop out of school – Criminalizing drop outs is not the way to fix the much deeper problem.
Secrets will not be kept from the civilians – Every government has to keep some secrets. You don't want info about your disaster response drills to fall into your enemies hands; They would simply bypass it. You don't want your enemies knowing where you keep your latest military weapons… The list goes on.
Pot houses – Again, what a person chooses to put into their body is not for the government to regulate or track using cards. If a person wants pot at home, that is their personal choice, not one the government should make.
Cigarettes – If you want to smoke "all natural" cigarettes, that's fine; Just don't regulate what other people put into their own bodies.
Guns – If you don't like guns don't buy one, but don't force your views on others. Outlawing guns puts up a huge sign that says "Rob/rape/murder me. I'm unarmed and have no way of fighting back". Satanism – I see you don't actually support freedom of religion. All religions must be allowed to believe whatever they want without government interference. Exactly how would one enforce a law that says you can not believe something? Thought police???
Christmas and Easter – Or you could just not have the government intermingle with religion. So much for separation of church and state. Christmas and Easter are religious holidays. If you feel they should be on another day, celebrate them then or not at all. Again, would the though police enforce this? If you're offended by it, that's just too bad. You don't have a right not to be offended.
Power companies – I'm opposed to more government interference. How about we have the free market decide, not artificially slant the free market via legislation and subsidies.
Life support – This is a private family decision, not something the government should ever decide for anybody. There is something called an advance directive that can be filled out (they're quite easy to find online). You fill out what you want and don't want done regarding your medical care should something happen to you. You can also fill out DPOA forms that appoint somebody to make your medical decisions for you should you no longer be able to do so for yourself.
Marriage – How about we not have any marriage licenses whatsoever. People would be allowed to make a marriage contract between themselves and a religious institution if they so desire one to be involved. Since when did marriage become an agreement between a couple and Uncle Sam? Oh, I remember. Marriage licenses were originally invented to prevent interracial marriage. That's not a good thing to continue.
Cheating – You realize that "half" that would go to the government would likely be communal property between the couple and would cause financial damage to the innocent party, right? Also, we don't need the government being involved in anybody's sex life.
KIng/queen – So certain people are somehow superior to others because they won the genetic lottery. Nope, I prefer my own sovereignty.
Roads – If there actually is a cost efficient way to do this I would love to know.
Law enforcement – Wow, so law enforcement can torture people legally? I have no words for this.
